Time for a holiday........
Well, I'll be MIA for the next 6 days, away on a long-overdue holiday (no, not on Oolong Island). In the meantime, I highly recommend the newest Doom Patrol TPB: We Who Are About To Die.
When DC look at sales figures, they'll definitely factor in how popular the TPBs are in determining how long the monthly series can sustain itself. If you haven't already bought a copy of this TPB for yourself, then buy one for a friend, or family member. Or encourage someone else to try it.
Thanks to Keith Giffen, Matthew Clark, et al, we've been treated to a fun, energetic, humorous, entertaining Doom Patrol comic - let's do what we can to let DC know we want this great little comic to continue.

The Chief has been experimenting on a captured Kryptonian in his spare time, and he just figured out the method by which Kryptonian cells process yellow sun radiation. The next step: using that method on himself!

New Doom Patrol TPB
Aside from the fantastic #11 out this week, don't forget to look out for the new Doom Patrol TPB: We Who Are About To Die. It contains the first six issues of the new DP series - a perfect catch-up for new readers!

Doom Patrol #11 review
Giffen is at least, slightly mad. He'd have to be, to have come up with some of these storylines. But he's also a very talented writer, having built things up to that unforgettable last page.
Over the course of eleven issues, he has included references to, and characters from, nearly every incarnation of the Doom Patrol. This issue, he reminds us of something integral to Grant Morrison's run, and it absolutely works.......... there is a now a pseudo-DP running around, known as the "Front Men", led by Somebody who makes Larry seem normal.
Well, maybe.
A very impressive issue, overall. We're building up to the end of "Year One", and it's bound to finish off with a bang. The artwork, as always, was detailed and conveyed all the emotions of the characters, as well as the details of the environments. I can't wait to see what's in store next month.

Again, much thanks for sticking with us as we steer the DP into... whatever. And that goes for you too Wolfspider. The dissenting voice should always be heard and I hope you don't grow too dismayed by the direction we're going in. Really. Every opinion counts.
So... just to get things percolating again, remember when Doctor Doom stole the Silver Surfer's powers and went bugf**k?
What do you think would happen if the Chief managed to, likewise, steal a Kryptonian's powers?

Brave & the Bold #34 review!
A fun two-minute read, but definitely not as much fun as the regular series!
It's great to see the DP getting some "outside" exposure - and I definitely think JMS had a decent handle on the characters, but I've never been a LOSH reader, and I was hoping for more Doom Patrol to maintain my interest.
I thought the writer's attempts at humour were quite old-school, but nothing compared to the belly-laughs the current series provides. The writing was good, in general, but had the page count been longer, I'm hopeful things could've been explained in more details at times. But for a once-off (at least for DP appearances), its was suitably fun. Just like with the regular series, we need to support Doom Patrol so that the characters stick around in some format - and we're pretty darn lucky to get what we currently have!
